OUR PROCESS
Many people wonder what the process of getting a piercing is like, so allow us a moment to walk you through it.
01. Arrival
Upon arrival to your appointment you will be greeted by one of our friendly team and checked in. We'll ask you your name so we can identify your booking, and there may be a moment of browsing or relaxing while we prepare to begin.
02. Anatomy Consultation
Not all piercings need an in depth anatomy consultation, but if they do we will always assess yours and determine your suitability for the piercing you're wanting to have done.
03. Jewellery
Choosing jewellery is the most fun part of the whole process! One of our experts will show you which options are best suited to your piercing, and ensure it's going to fit your anatomy and personal style.
04. Consent
We'll have you fill out a consent form so we can collect some relevant information for you. This is a legally required part of the process, and we ask that you ensure you have checked over our ID information so you can be prepared.
05. Sterilisation
While you fill out your consent form and vibe in the atmosphere of our studio, we'll prepare everything for your procedure behind the scenes. This includes sterilising your jewellery, and any other equiptment we need right on the spot, read to use immediately.
06. Marking
Once everything is ready for you, we'll mark the placement of the piercing and have you check it so you can see where it will go. Some piercings can be adjusted to suit your preference, and others need to go in a particular spot to ensure the most comfort for your body. Either way, we'll talk you through it so you understand how it will look for you.
07. Skin Preparation
This is the part that's the bare minimum for us, yet many clients tell us that no other studio has properly prepared their skin for piercing. We use anti-septics which reduce bacteria on the skin, which then reduces your chances of infection. That's pretty important.
08. Piercing
With a guided deep breath in and out, your piercing will be over within a second. Followed by swift installation of the jewellery, and a good clean up at the end. The biggest moment often feels smooth and simple when it's done by one of our skilled practitioners.
09. Aftercare
We may talk through your aftercare before, during or after your procedure, but we'll always ensure you leave informed and feeling confident to take the best care of your piercing. After that, you can return to your day as normal, with no downtime needed. Plus, we'll always be here to help if you need us.
