How old do I have to be to get that piercing?
Age minimums vary by piercing type. Ours are based on things like healing and risk, and whether those things are suitable for younger people. These age minimums apply regardless of parental consent. Find your age in the table below to see which piercings are available to you.

What kind of ID do I need to bring to my appointment?
We require ID to ensure that we are compliant with Victoria's legislations regarding minimum ages and consent for body piercing services. Help us to ensure your appointment goes smoothly, by reading through the following information so you can be prepared.
Age 18+ ✦ Government issued photo ID is required
For people aged 18 or older, we require one (1) of the following types of ID:
- Australian Driver’s Licence / Learner Permit
- Passport
- Keypass
- Proof of Age Card
- School ID (non-electronic only)
Age 16 & 17 ✦ No parent needed, just your own ID
Once you turn 16, you are able to get a piercing without your parent/guardian to sign , you only need to bring your own ID. For people aged 16 & 17 we require one (1) of the following types of ID:
- Australian Driver’s License / Learner Permit
- Passport
- Keypass
- Proof of Age Card
- School ID (non-electronic only)
Age 6 to 15 ✦ Your parent must be present with two types of ID
For people who are aged 6 to 15, they must be acompanied by a parent or legal guardian. We will need two (2) types of ID, which includes ID for the parent and a document to link the parent and the child together.
For the parent's ID we need at least one (1) of the following:
- Australian Driver’s Licence / Learner Permit
- Passport
- Keypass
- Proof of Age Card
To link the parent and the child together we also need at least one (1) of the following:
- Medicare Card with both names on it
- Private Healthcare Card with both names on it
- Child's Birth Certificate
By law, the parent or legal guardian must be present at the time of the appointment to sign the form and provide the ID.
Visiting Australia from overseas? ✦ We can only accept your passport
Licenses and IDs issued in countries outside of Australia cannot be accepted. For people who don't have an Australian ID, we will need the following:
Clients aged 16 and older: Passport
Clients aged 6 to 15: Parent's passport and child's birth certificate
Additional notes about ID:
- All ID must be valid, in date and in physical form.
- We cannot accept photos, print outs or copies of ID.
- Failure to present ID may result in cancellation or rebooking of your appointment.
- Licenses and IDs issued in countries outside of Australia cannot be accepted.
