Ear Piercings - Lobe
The earlobe is the most frequently pierced part of the ear. The Piercing Urge does not advocate the use of piercing guns for any part of the body. However, the earlobe is the only part of the body that can be pierced with an ear piercing gun. Ear piercing guns are designed to make ear piercing easy for even the most inexperienced of operators but can cause uneccessary damage to the skin and are difficult to sterilise. They are designed to allow a sterile stud to be inserted. Earring sleepers are also suitable for an earlobe but should not be used in any other piercing.
A wide range of other body jewellery can also be used. Earlobes lend themselves to being stretched fairly easily to accommodate a range of jewellery options from rings through quills and bones to plates and metal and plastic tubes! Avery 'tribal' look can be obtained with some of these options.
